The Natural Areas Association has partnered with The Conservation Fund's Go Zero program to zero out the carbon dioxide emissions that   resulted from the energy use at the 35th annual Natural Areas Conference in Nashville, TN Oct. 14-17, 2008.  To help address two of the nation's greatest environmental challenges -- habitat loss and climate change -- the Fund will plant 70 native trees in Louisiana's Red River National Wildlife Refuge.  Over their lifetime, the new trees will trap an estimated 83.7 tons of carbon dioxide, provide critical habitat for wildlife and enhance public recreation areas we can all enjoy.
